What is platelet-rich plasma therapy?

It is a platelet concentrate, prepared from patient’s own blood. The collected blood sample is placed in centrifuge machine that rapidly spins the sample, separating out the other components of the blood from the platelets and concentrating them within the plasma. This platelet concentrate is then injected into the target areas.
